About

Yanawara is a purpose-driven start-up that curates & designs clothing and accessories ethically made by Bolivian artisans combining traditional techniques, natural fibers and timeless design. We aim to promote the artisan industry, increase fair and safe job opportunities, and contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry.

We partnership with artisans and entrepreneurs in the artisan industry in Bolivia where the majority are women. Working from home or in small workshops, many have been working in the industry by generations or have been started as a job alternative that dignifies their lives allowing them to be independent and support their families. We are all committed to honoring traditions and sustainability starting with the “mutual breeding”, an ancestral process, harm-free, that involves respect, love and mutual care of animals, people and the environment.
